Autumn and spring: The Catalan coast<\/h2>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]In spring and autumn, there\u2019s a real desire to make the most of the good weather, the longer days and the abundance of marine life along our coastline. It\u2019s the ideal time to go sailing near Barcelona. That\u2019s why we\u2019re organising day trips and weekend sailing trips along the Catalan coast. We\u2019ll set off from the port of Premi\u00e0 de Mar (20\u201325 minutes by train from Barcelona).<\/p>\n

Sailing along the Maresme coast offers us peace and quiet, close yet far removed from the hustle and bustle of the big city, as well as a wealth of wildlife in the area. The idea is always to go sailing depending on the wind.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]\n

Summer: Menorca and the Balearic Islands<\/h2>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]A week sailing around Menorca<\/strong> is the perfect holiday plan<\/strong>, allowing you to enjoy the sea, Menorca\u2019s coves by boat<\/strong>, and the island in a different way. We set sail from Mah\u00f3n on Saturdays at 11am and return the following Friday at 1pm.<\/p>\n

For a week-long sailing trip around Menorca<\/strong>, we plan the route based on the weather, always seeking out the sheltered parts of the island so we can anchor safely and enjoy the trip at a leisurely pace. The idea is to sail and enjoy Menorca\u2019s coves to relax<\/strong>, go snorkelling, try paddleboarding or go for walks on land \u2013 an ideal way to experience a different kind of holiday<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Why is sailing in the Mediterranean so captivating?<\/h3>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]\nSailing in the Mediterranean is one of the most promising sailing destinations. Its shores have been the cradle of great civilisations, as well as the territory of mighty empires. In the Mediterranean landscape, we still find traces of past cultures, which are also part of our own. The waters that bathe the Mediterranean basin are unique for their clarity, with shades ranging from cobalt blue to turquoise. These very waters are home to a rich biodiversity, including species such as dolphins, whales and sea turtles. The fact that it is a sea surrounded by three continents, with a close connection to the ocean, gives it certain advantages. One of its distinctive features is that it experiences hardly any fluctuations in sea level.<\/p>\n

Thanks to these characteristics, we enjoy a mild climate, with warm, dry summers.<\/p>\n

From the deck of a sailing boat, we have the audacity to reach places reserved for the few. From the shore, the scents of tamarisk, thyme and pine reach us, along with the daytime chorus of cicadas. We live in an age where the most remote corners of the world seem within reach.
